Yes, getting married at 22 might be the craziest thing that i have done till date but trust me it is the best thing that could happen to anyone. There’s so much more to it than just staying with your partner in the same house. To begin with, it brings with it a huge amount of excitement in life; excitement about Having your own house and setting it up your way, having a new name and a new family, being with the person you love the most for your entire life, never-ending love and affection, travelling and seeing the world together, fighting with each other, laughing together, and what not. They say marriage ruins a relationship and reduces the amount of love people share for each other but i beg to differ. I think marriage strengthens it all the more. It raises the understanding level, improves the communication gap if any, brings you more closer, and most importantly, makes you get used to each other. Also, there are a few health benefits: it reduces stress levels as you always have someone to talk to; you don’t grow fat and ugly as there is always someone for whom you want to look good; you don’t fall ill much as there is always someone to take care of you; and my favorite: You are always happy! And as they say happy people are the healthiest!
I was never scared of getting married to be honest but trust me the night i was getting ready for my wedding, my heart literally sank. A moment came when i realized that in a few hours, I was actually going to become someone’s wife, someone who i loved, and with whom i had been dying to stay but those few minutes just made me forget all that and i went completely numb. It was only when the Baraat came that i gained all my energy back and just couldn’t stop blushing once i saw him. He looked extraordinarily handsome that night. I guess that’s how it works! Love is magical and Marriage is an icing on the cake ❤
