My Top 5 Picks

Holla guys,

This time around i have come up with a post where I would like to share my top five beauty picks. These are few products i just cannot do without. I have been using them for a while now personally as well as professionally (P.S: I’m a Makeup Artist), and believe me, they’ve delivered excellent results. We all know that there are a zillion products available in the market and a lot of them are good, but then we all have our favorites right?Mine are listed below:

1.  MAC Mineralize Skinfinish Natural

This has been my top favorite for a while now. It’s probably one of the first products that I picked up from MAC. It is a slow baked face powder with minerals which provides a natural matte finish and gives the perfect low coverage. I use it on a daily basis for that dewy non-cakey look and honestly, i haven’t found a better replacement yet.

2. Chanel Loose Powder

This is one of the best purchases that I’ve made so far. Chanel Loose Powder/ Chanel Pouder Universelle Libre is an ultra soft loose powder that provides sheer, light coverage and works as the perfect setting powder for your makeup, making it last longer without any need for touch ups. It gives that dewy satiny finish to the skin and since it’s translucent ( shade: 30 Naturel ), it can be used on all skin tones. It comes in a round jar with a soft powder puff which acts as the perfect applicator.

3. MAC Bronzing Powder (Matte Bronze)

Well, we all like a little contouring but for me, it’s the best part about makeup. I just love the chiseled look! Hence, I’m always on the lookout for good contouring/bronzing powders. Till recently i was using the Bobby Brown Bronzer but found it to be too light for my face so started using it for my cheeks instead and oh boy, i love the shine it gives.

So coming back to MAC Matte Bronze, it is a tinted sheer powder ideal for enhancing the skin tone and highlighting your features. It is my current favorite as of now and believe me, it is one product i just cannot do without.

4. MAC Studio Finish Concealer

Being a Makeup Artist, i feel concealer is the most essential product needed in a  Beauty Makeover.  I personally don’t use it very often but there is nothing that hides your imperfections the way it does. I’m a fan of MAC Studio Finish concealers and for Indian skin tones, the shades NW 25, NW 30, NW 35 and NW 40 work well. I use NW 25 myself which is a creamy , lightweight, smooth, and water-resistant concealer. It effectively covers all skin imperfections and discolorations. It is also enriched with antioxidants and has an SPF of 35. This is one product I never forget to carry with me when I’m travelling!

5. NYX Eyeshadow Base

For every makeup, it is important to have the right base and if you go wrong with the base, nothing that you apply further can fix it. Similarly, for the perfect eye makeup the base has to be really good. Only then the eye makeup lasts long, looks brilliant and stays in place.  For me, NYX eye shadow base does the trick. It creates a smooth canvas for the color, increases its durability and prevents fallout.  I have been using the neutral shade ESB03 for quite sometime now and in case you guys looking for a base, I would highly recommend this one.
