Review: Chanel Le Teint Ultra Tenue Foundation

Its been a while since I did any product reviews. So today, I’m going to talk about Chanel’s latest launch (which happens to be my current favorite), Chanel Le Teint Ultra Tenue Foundation. I’ve always been a fan of Chanel products be it their Lipsticks, Compact, Blushers or Loose powder. I haven’t really used their foundation range much, apart from Mat Lumiere as I prefer sticking to what suits my skin (I’ve been using Makeup Forever HD and Lancome Teint Miracle) but few weeks ago, I tried a sample of Chanel Tenue foundation and really liked the texture and feel of it. So I picked one up for myself and the rest is history! Here I am reviewing it for you all. 😀

Quantity: 30 ml

What It Claims:

  • Ultra wear flawless foundation
  • Long lasting coverage and comfort
  • Skin perfecting finish
  • Matte effect
  • 16 shades
  • No SPF
  • Fine texture

How did it Fare?

It is simply phenomenal! Firstly, I love Chanel for its neat packaging. The bottle comes with a pump dispenser which pumps only the desired amount of product thus preventing any wastage. The foundation looks flawless on the skin right from application and blends seamlessly, whether applied with brush, sponge or fingers. The formula has build-able medium to full coverage and is best for normal to combination/oily skin types. I would not recommend this one for those with extremely dry skin.

I’ve been wearing it (shade 20 Beige) for over two weeks now, and am amazed each day at how well it fairs. The best part about this foundation is that it does not feel heavy on the skin and gives a luminous matte finish throughout the day. It surely gives a tough competition to my Makeup Forever HD foundation and is quite similar to Estee Lauder Double Wear foundation.

How To Apply

Apply directly to face with fingertips or foundation brush. Blend using a damp sponge or buffing brush.

  • Oil resistant
  • Excellent staying power
  • Extensive shade range
  • Good coverage
  • Weightless texture
  • Pleasant smell

  • Does not contain SPF
  • Not suitable for very dry skin
  • Slightly expensive

Would I Repurchase it?  YES.

Rating: 4/5

Chanel Le Teint Ultra Tenue is definitely one of the best foundations for those with oily skin. If you’re someone who needs great staying power and coverage, this is what you should include in your makeup kit right away.

Much Love ❤
