Whether you’re a fashion enthusiast or an accessories minimalist, a statement bag is all you need to amp up your look. While I like to splurge on all kinds of bags and they’re undoubtedly, my favorite accessory, I’m sure many of you think otherwise and have other preferences. But no matter what, there are a few handbag staples that you should have in your closet, to match any outfit and occasion.
I’m listing down my top 5 below.
1. Cross-body bag
This hands-free bag is ideal for the girl on -the- go. Whether you’re headed to a brunch or shopping on a spring summer afternoon, this bag makes your life so much easier while making you look chic at the same time. Invest in a neutral color so that it goes with most of your outfits.
The cross body is my personal favorite! Worn over the shoulder or across the trunk, it leaves your hands blissfully free for more important things (like browsing the sale rack). 😀

2. Top Handle bag
You need bags for work too right? When it comes to important interviews or business meetings, a classy, tailored top-handle bag works best, but of course it should match your formal outfits. Also, it should be roomy enough to carry your office essentials.

3. Structured tote
While you can carry a classic tote to work as well, I usually take it when I’m travelling or when I have a zillions things to do and places to be. Also, when I’m shooting and have a change of clothes, shoes, makeup stash and laptop, this is the bag I reach out for.

4. Shoulder bag
Forever elegant, a sleek shoulder bag is endlessly versatile. You can carry it from day to night, be it to meet your girlfriends, for a dinner date with your partner or for a party night out. If you think of investing in a luxury handbag, this is the style I would strongly recommend.

5. Bum Bag
Believe it or not, these small, sensible waist-pouches are back thanks to Gucci, and fashionistas like Kendall Jenner, Miley Cyrus and Rita Ora who have been spotted wearing them. They have been on the Kenzo and Stella McCartney catwalks, and have crossed over from Coachella to become everyday items. It almost seems like the bum bag is finally having its renaissance moment. And why not? These bags are the ultimate hands-free accessory. 🙂

If you already own all these bags, you can always invest in other kinds like bag packs, clutches, bucket bags, hobos or satchels.
Much Love ❤
