Bali Story Part II

Holla,

How are  y’all?

I’m hoping by now you’ve read Part I of my Bali trip. If you haven’t, check it out here. 🙂

Now lets talk about Day 3 which was perhaps the most relaxing day of our entire trip. We’d decided to spend the entire day exploring the hotel and unwinding at the beach. And so it started with ordering a floating breakfast in our pool villa, and believe me when I say it was a feast for the eyes. All the effort that goes into putting your favourite delicacies together, and making it look so picturesque, is truly commendable.

After relishing our meal, we went for a walk on the beach. Honestly, its one place where I regain my sanity. I can be by the sea for hours admiring its beauty and enjoying the peace.

Of course I couldn’t stop myself  from taking a dip in the hotel pool as well cuz it was way too beautiful to resist!

Evening was reserved for some shopping and strolling through the streets of Seminyak. Being in the centre of the city, it is definitely Bali’s most stylish and upscale resort area, with lots of clubs, bars, designer boutiques and branded stores.

The next day we zeroed in on Tanah Lot temple. Famed for its unique offshore setting and sunset backdrops, this ancient Hindu shrine is simply among Bali’s not-to-be missed icons.

The temple is located in the Beraban village of the Tabanan regency, an approximate 20km northwest of Kuta, and is included on most tours to Bali’s western and central regions.

I highly recommend visiting Tanah Lot early in the morning as it gets quite hot and crowded during the day.

Post the temple visit, we decided to hit Sundara bar in Jimbaran for lunch. Few of my friends had recommended this place and honestly, it was totally worth the hype. Jimbaran is one of the most beautiful beaches in Bali and the tranquility and peace you find here can be a perfect antidote to a stressful world.

Since we had a 5 pm Spa reservation, we got back to the hotel early, changed and left for that. After the rejuvenating and relaxing session, we were super refreshed and all ready to roll for the night. 😀

Since it was our last night in Bali, we chose the very popular Motel Mexicola which was located in Seminyak itself and was just a few minutes away from W. This colourful and quirky Mexican bar and restaurant is the best place to enjoy a good night, with simple and affordable Mexican food, and great drinks and atmosphere. We loved the whole vibe of this place and danced the night away along with the ecstatic crowd present there.

Day 5

We only had a few hours before we left Bali. So the POA was to swim, eat, drink and absorb the beauty of this place as much as we could.

How did we commute in Bali?  Cabs.

Did we book a tour? No. Did everything on our own.

I’ve been to quite a few beach destinations in the past, but Bali has surprised me to another level altogether. The tropical greens, the rocky beaches, the enchanting temple views, the crazy nightlife, everything about this place makes you want to stay a little more.

There’s a lot to explore in and around this beautiful island and I really hope to come back here once again in the future. Till then, Adios! 🙂

Much love ❤
